The recently remodeled Ocoee Lakeshore Center was designed to serve the community with the best in mind. Located at Downtown Ocoee, this venue is very versatile and offers diversity to make and every event unique, specially weddings. 

“We have the combination of the water, the dock and the green space in between. There is a historic aspect on the other side of the building, so there is quite a variety to choose from as far as what look you are going for,” said Carolina Vaca, Recreation and Event Leader for the City of Ocoee.  

The venue provides many multifunctional spaces to celebrate different events, including weddings.

The outdoors ceremony site its a new space created when the expansions where designed. “There are other ceremony sites as well, even if there is not permanent structure.” Vaca pointed to the green space, close to the water, as one gorgeous open space to celebrate the ceremony. “You don’t need anything there, but if you wish to add an arch or any other decoration, you can absolutely do so.” 

Room and included furniture provide a canvas to make the space unique to your style and desires. But the venue offers even more, as they thought about the importance of technology while planning the remodeling. “Our audio-visual equipment is built-in and very easy to use. You don’t have to bring your own. It works for slideshows and livestreams.”

Either for a rainy day backup plan or if you wish to have the ceremony indoors, Lakeshore offers a dedicated space for it as well. 

With a longer than wider reception room, there are quite different options to set the sweetheart table and therefore making the room design adaptable to your event.

Many options for photos

One of the aspects that attracts more about this venue is the variety of locations to get stunning photos. “We have many spots for photos; not just only the lake, but the house, which has a porch and the chairs.” Vaca makes reference to the historic Whiters-Maguire House, which serves as a gorgeous background for photos as well. 

The venue also included spacious ‘getting ready’ rooms.

Any month is a good time to celebrate a wedding at this venue as it provides a variety of spaces that can be utilice for the ceremony and reception. Even if you are looking for a Christmas look, “the City decorates for the Holidays. The garden will be decorated as well as the house as a historic background.”

Although booking the venue 12 months in advance is a common practice, according to Vaca 18 months is more recommendable as it offers the extra time to plan and book the perfect vendors for your day. 

The venue offers eight hours blocks for renting their space and Vaca emphasizes that when you have the right vendors the setup process goes so much quicker and efficiently. “You do not need to add much more extra time to decorate at the beginning of the day; they will know how to make it happen. Your vendors know what they are doing -that is why is so important to hire professionals.”
